AUSTIN, TX – June 9, 2025 – Austin, Texas, a city renowned for its vibrant music scene, is proud to announce the formation of a compelling new art rock band, About Ants. Comprising talented musicians from the Austin Community College (ACC) music program, this quartet is set to make waves with their innovative sound, drawing inspiration from contemporary acts like Dry Cleaning and English Teacher, as well as the enduring legacy of Radiohead.
Formed in early 2025, About Ants features the captivating vocals of Jess Folks, the dynamic guitar work of David Coker and Eddy Carey, and the driving rhythms of Antonio Cruz on drums. Each member brings a unique perspective honed through their studies at ACC, contributing to a cohesive yet eclectic musical vision.
About Ants aims to push the boundaries of rock music, blending intricate instrumentation with thought-provoking lyrics and a distinctive artistic sensibility. Their sound promises to resonate with fans of experimental rock and those seeking a fresh, intelligent approach to the genre.
